Rize Above Media  is a 501c(3) non-profit program that cultivates, educates and inspires at-risk/underserved youth (12 -17 yrs) in the Digital Media Arts, to excel in school and beyond. Our desire is to enrich “positive” youth media in existing community organizations and attract participants to after-school, weekend or summer programs. Classes offer instruction in mobile / video gaming, filmmaking, online publications and graphic design. Programs are produced with the purpose of encouraging youth to explore a profession in digital media or learn entrepreneurial skills to establish their own business.

Rize Above Media seeks to “cultivate” the passion for Media Arts in each youth by teaching practical Digital Media skills.  Our 5 day summer, weekend & after-school boot camps give youth the opportunity to explore the digital media programs we offer and attract on-going student participation through out the school year.  By positively impacting the young participant's heart and mind, and providing the participate an outlet to be creative and productive, we believe that the high school drop out rate in each of our  local communities will ultimately decrease.

Rize Above Media's Classes/summer camps offer education in digital media paired with employment & business skills.  Each course can be taught seperately or combined. Currently, courses are offered after-school or on the weekend and taught by a professional in the industry or a qualified facilitator.  Listed below are programs which are currently being offered:

• Video gaming - Digital media career exploration

• Mobile gaming - Entrepreneural business skills

• Online publications

• Youth short story film production

• Digital Audio

Rize Above Media is confident that “inspired” youth will impact our world on a much greater scale if we foster an environment which not only facilitates learning and creativity, but produces tangible projects. Through classroom exercises, field trips and guest speakers, youth develop their own business ideas and work on bringing their ideas to the marketplace. Youth are also empowered by the opportunity to speak with professionals who are employed in various digital media fields. Industry specific mentorship & internships opportunities are also available.
